Dementia Caregiver Services

When someone is diagnosed with dementia, it can be as stressful and scary for the caregiver as it is for the patient.

Through our Savvy Caregiver program, HSS trains family and professional caregivers in the basic knowledge, skills, and attitudes needed to handle the challenges of caring for a loved one with a dementia diagnosis.

A grant through AgeSmart Community Resources has allowed HSS to offer these weekly classes, which are offered in sessions.

The grant also allows us to provide free informational classes to the community, an effort that seeks to educate the public about dementia and increase awareness of the disease.
