Since July 1990, Human Support Services has employed a Community-Based
Prevention Specialist to work throughout Monroe County with youth. We work
towards impacting the community in several areas including but not limited to:
best practices, teaching alternatives to drug use, community assessments, social
norming campaigns, methamphetamine educational campaigns and social policy. This
staff member is available to provide consultation to groups working with
prevention. Regular programming includes Life Skills Programs for youth in the
